The Bird of Paradise villa, located on Sandy Hill Bay beach, Anguilla, offers a unique blend of exquisite detail, spacious comfort, luxury, and quiet ambiance. It was designed by Wilson Associates, award-winning architects of luxury villas and resorts, including the Armani in Dubai, Four Seasons in Hong Kong. and the Atlantis Palm Resort. Bird of Paradise is designed in an Asian Tropical style with meandering, lagoon-style pools that weave between the four buildings to create an extremely private compound that is lush with vegetation.
Multiple buildings have allowed the owners to create four master suites, each with their own entrance, private veranda and an equal, panoramic view of the Caribbean and the mountains of St. Barths and St. Maarten. All suites are air conditioned. For added privacy and comfort, each suite is equipped with a hidden refrigerator and coffee service. Bathrooms vary, but may include an indoor-out door shower, whirlpool tub, desk, dressing table or walk-in closet. Bvlgari Amenities and Italian linens and bathrobes are included.
One suite has an attached office, which also has a second private, enclosed patio. The office can be set up as a 5th bedroom for children 12 and under. This two-room suite can be configured with four twin beds, which is ideal for a nanny and three children.
The Bird of Paradise offers four living/dining areas, including an interior living area with a wet bar, an exterior living room with fireplace, sun deck, and a large covered veranda with seating, dining and day bed. The villa offers true indoor-outdoor living as entire walls fold completely back and away for 180 degree views and to welcome the gentle breezes and fragrances of this tropical paradise. There are also hidden hideaways on the property, a hilltop deck and an Indonesian day bed among a grove of palm trees.
The villa has two swimming pools and the perfect crescent beach of Sandy Hill Bay is a three minute walk down an uneven path. The beach offers excellent swimming and snorkeling as well as a safe harbor for a small yacht.
Services include a property manager/concierge who will meet you at the port and offer you complimentary transport to the villa where you will be met by your Hosted Villa contact. Bird of Paradise will give you a complimentary cell phone so you may contact your Host or the villa whenever and wherever you are on the island. Complimentary phone calls to North American and Europe, as well as daily housekeeping are included in the daily rate.
Upon arrival at the villa, the Bird of Paradise Tech Manager will meet you to assure your computer has been connected to the wireless internet and your iPod to the dock. He will answer any questions regarding the indoor-outdoor sound system, the TVs, or DVD players.
Guests will enjoy a library of 100+ DVDs, beach bags, pool toys, as well as a chess board, dominoes table and other games.
TThe "Bird" manager can stock the gourmet kitchen and bar for a minimal fee. Bird of Paradise is unique in that its property manager is an Executive Chef. Chef Zoe had a catering company in San Francisco and cooked in France for 10 years. For an additional cost, she is available to cook for guests and has prepared all-inclusive packages, which include the cost of the chef, server(s), and food. It's wonderful to arrive at the villa with your first night's dinner prepared or wake-up your first morning to a sumptuous breakfast buffet. Please ask for additional information. Also available for an additional charge are in-villa spa treatments, butler, bartender, babysitter and more.
